We got an assignment in which we had to calculate the distance from the address ha4 9by in the UK to Alton towers. We had to compare the distance by car and by train. I used the site www.multimap.com and it showed me that the the journey by car would take close to 3 hours and be 151 miles long.
I then used the site www.tansportdirect.info to see how long the train journey would take. The search showed that the journey would take about 4 hours 30 mins which is a lot longer than the car journey. So the sites were helpful in making my decision whether to take the train or go by car
